1. Overview & Core Philosophy

At RealQRgen (accessible from https://realqrgen.in), privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundation of our entire architecture. We believe that your private credentials, personal telephone numbers, home Wi-Fi keys, and business links should never be transmitted to third-party databases.

2. Zero Server-Side Data Collection

Unlike traditional web applications that process input data on remote servers:

  • All QR generation happens locally in your web browser using client-side JavaScript (HTML5 Canvas / SVG).
  • We do not transmit, log, or store the text, URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, or payment IDs you enter.
  • Zero telemetry on QR code scans: Because our codes are static and direct, scanning a QR code connects the user directly to the destination without pinging our servers.

3. Local Browser Storage (Saved History)

Our application provides an optional "Saved History" feature. If you choose to save a generated QR code, the thumbnail and payload are stored exclusively in your browser's local localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time with a single click using the "Clear All" button in the History Drawer.

4. Camera Permissions for QR Scanner

When utilizing our built-in QR Scanner, your browser will prompt you for camera access:

  • The video stream is processed in real time entirely within your browser memory.
  • No video recordings, photos, or audio are ever uploaded, recorded, or sent over any network.
  • Camera access terminates immediately when the scanner modal is closed or when you click "Stop Camera".

5. Cookies & Analytics

We do not use advertising tracking cookies, cross-site trackers, or invasive fingerprinting scripts. We store only your theme preference (dark or light) in your local browser storage.

6. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Because RealQRgen does not collect, sell, or process personal identifying information (PII), we are compliant by design with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
